Antoine Robertson/SMS was born in Richmond, VA.  He was raised by his biological mother until being adopted by a Pastor and his family at the age of 13.  This was a major turning point in Antoine’s life.  Although his transition from sin to Godliness wasn’t immediate, God allowed him to maintain his gifts until this appointed time.  Antoine has always had a strange obsession with music and art.  When he was younger, he never felt limited in his range for creativity which enabled him to develop a surreal and abstract style.  Although Antoine has had his trials and tribulations,
his testimony is not just of himself.  Through his music he tells of his personal wars and triumphs, also his observations of life. 

In 1997, SMS rededicated his life to Christ.  This decision compelled him to abandon a popular local rap group in which he was a lyricist. 
In understanding the cost of his calling, he began to seek the Lord’s guidance pertaining to his gifts and talents for music.  SMS’s taste in
Christian music is eclectic and it ranges from Christian rap to Christian rock.  However, his true hearts desire is worship.  SMS is known for
his lyrical talent; however he embraces a wide vicinity of diverse musical talents in order to tell the story.

Currently, Antoine resides in Richmond, Va.  as an Ordained Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the overseer of Eveready
Outreach Ministries.  His wife Tameka Robertson and daughter Tierra are by his side supporting him in ministry.
